Bismuth (Bi)

Bismuth is a basic metal for consumers and industrial applications. For consumers, bismuth is used in healthcare and pharmaceuticals through radiation-shielding products and medications to treat nausea, indigestion, and ulcers. Due to its non-toxicity, bismuth is also used in cosmetics production. Industrially, bismuth is used as a non-toxic colorant in the production of certain paints and components. This metal is also used as a catalyst to control vehicle emissions, as well as in the production of secure clamping devices for heavy machinery such as turbines.
