Compact Density Fiberboard

CDF wood (Compact Density Fiberboard) is a type of industrial wood with high fiber density, similar to HDF but with higher compression density and mass. In other words, CDF industrial board is Black HDF board. This material is usually made from small wood fibers combined with glue and pressed under very high pressure, creating boards with superior thickness and durability.

CDF board or Black HDF wood is a great solution for products that require high moisture and water resistance such as kitchen cabinets, partitions, washbasins, toilet partitions, coffee table tops, decorative walls, and equipment with complex shaped details. CDF panels are affordable, have a variety of colors, and are easy to process using common machines for industrial boards today. In particular, the black-dyed core is a definite plus for decorative cut details that look more aesthetically pleasing.

A prominent feature is its high moisture and water resistance, which is a definite advantage in the home interior environment. CDF only needs to be wiped at the edges to be used as a finished detail.

Advantages

• Like HDF, Black HDF wood has superior durability.

• Due to the high density of the substrate and wood fibers, HDF boards have strong impact resistance and withstand large external forces.

• Smooth surface suitable for surface coating, creating products with diverse designs and richness.

Disadvantages

• Heavy weight, not convenient for construction and installation.

• Complex manufacturing and superior properties make the cost of HDF industrial wood very high.

• High hardness, so it is not flexible and not suitable for curved products.
