Itinerary

Day 1: Ho Chi Minh City & Cu Chi Tunnels 1-Day Tour

07:30: Your guide and GTrip team will pick you up from your hotel.

Depart for Cu Chi Tunnels, just 60 km from the city center. Upon arriving at the entrance of the Cu Chi Tunnels – the land of steel, you will discover much about the art of people's war:

• The types of weapons used by the National Liberation Front of South Vietnam in the war, including homemade guns.

• Watch a documentary about the tunnel system and the people's war.

• Learn about the structure of the tunnel system.

• Witness many types of deadly TRAPS from the Vietnam War used by the National Liberation Front of South Vietnam (VC) and how they worked.

• Enter the tunnels and experience it like a VC soldier.

• Visit the B52 bomb crater.

• Weapon workshop, VC soldiers' battle shoe factory (Râu sandals).

• Experience real shooting from the Vietnam War (personal fee – buy at least 10 bullets)

• Try the boiled cassava, a common dish of the VC during the war, and try jasmine tea.

11:00:

• Return to Ho Chi Minh City Center.

• Try sugarcane juice on the way.

13:00: Arrive at Com Tam Do Phu - A restaurant decorated in the style of pre-75 Saigon since 1946:

• Have lunch with traditional Saigon Com Tam

• An old Renault car used to transport weapons.

• Explore the secret base where the VC once stored equipment.

• Explore the secret weapons depot, learn how the VC hid weapons.

14:00: Sightseeing around Saigon City Center:

• War Remnants Museum: houses shocking images of the long and devastating Vietnam War, showcasing many graphic images and US military equipment.

• Independence Palace: a famous historical site in Ho Chi Minh City and is still used for government meetings and receptions.

• Saigon Central Post Office: one of the most famous and iconic landmarks in Ho Chi Minh City with its unique architecture and remaining vestiges of the city's past.

16:00: Visit Ben Thanh Market, where people sell everything you need from clothes, household goods to food, so you can surely find souvenirs here to bring home.

17:00: Return to the hotel. End of Ho Chi Minh City and Cu Chi Tunnels tour!
