What is PB Particle Board?

PB Particle Board is a type of engineered wood made from small wood particles, combined with special adhesive, then pressed under high pressure and temperature to form a board. Afterwards, the surface of the particle board is often coated with materials such as Melamine, Laminate or Veneer to enhance aesthetics and durability.

Advantages of PB Particle Board:

• Reasonable price: The cost is much lower than natural wood and other types of engineered wood.

• Smooth surface, easy to apply finishing layer: Often used to apply Melamine, Laminate, Veneer...

• Prevents warping and shrinkage: Thanks to the structure from small wood particles tightly bonded together.

Disadvantages of PB Particle Board:

• Lower load-bearing capacity and moisture resistance than other types of boards (such as MDF, HDF).

• Difficult to process complex details or carvings.

• If soaked in water for a long time, it can swell and crack, reducing its lifespan.

• Manufacturing office furniture, cabinets, display shelves, partitions, worktops, inexpensive furniture...

• Often used in flat furniture products that do not require high load-bearing capacity or moisture resistance.
