LITCHI – THE ESSENCE OF NORTHERN VIETNAM'S FRUIT

Litchi is considered one of Vietnam's most famous fruits, mainly grown in northern provinces such as Luc Ngan (Bac Giang), Hung Yen, and Thanh Hoa. The characteristic topography of these regions – with their bowl-shaped valleys – creates a unique microclimate, combining gentle breezes, hot and humid summers with abundant rainfall, and long, dry winters. These favorable natural conditions have resulted in the superior quality of litchi grown here.

When ripe, litchi fruits have bright red skin, small seeds, thick flesh, a sweet and refreshing taste, and are rich in nutrients. Notably, Luc Ngan litchi has long been renowned not only domestically but also exported to many countries worldwide, affirming its position as a premium fruit product of Vietnam. The litchi season typically starts around June, offering a refreshing gift of nature amidst the sweltering summer heat.

Developing Litchi Production Areas with Mova Plus

As of 2024, Mova Plus has linked the development of 20 hectares of litchi cultivation areas, with plans to expand to 200 hectares in the near future. Currently, the company has the capacity to supply 40 tons of litchi per year, aiming for 500 tons by 2025 and 5,000 tons by 2030.

Importantly, Mova Plus has achieved Global GAP and ISO 22000 certifications, meeting stringent export standards to Europe, the United States, Australia, China, and Thailand, contributing to enhancing the position of Vietnamese fruit in the international market.
