Instructions:
Huong Xua Banh Gio Flour: 500g
Add: Water: 1.8-2.0 liters,
Cooking oil: 50-60 g (5-6 tablespoons)
Step 1: Add Huong Xua Banh Gio Flour, water, and cooking oil to a pot and stir until well combined.
Step 2: Place the pot of batter on the stove and stir over medium heat until the batter is thick, elastic, and smooth.
Step 3: Divide the batter into portions of about 100-120g (depending on preference).
Step 4: Take a portion and place it in a banana leaf that has been briefly blanched in hot water. Then add the filling to the center (filling weight approximately 50-60g). Wrap it into a cone shape and tie it tightly with string.
Step 5: Boil water in a steamer and place the Banh Gio in the steamer. Steam for about 20-30 minutes until cooked. +The filling is made from minced meat, wood ear mushrooms,… seasoned to taste and then stir-fried until cooked.
